I gather you’re an affiliate with ‘Woot’, and you make a small profit based off the links above in the article. But maybe you should re-consider your affiliation with them, because they truly do have a sketchy reputation with a lengthy history of poor customer feedback with lack there of response time, shotty replacement service and sloppy remanufactured products. If it was me and I was in a credible site like this, I certainly wouldn’t be advocating them. [But hey, don’t take my word for it, there is a long backlog of consumer complaints with the B.B/Reddit discussions about this company that is easily identifiable with a 30 second search on Google.]

Pretty much fraud and borderline criminality to be selling a first generation iPad mini which can really do little more than email in 2020.

I have a limited, but good experience with Woot. I purchased a refurbished 2017 MacBook from them while I was abroad in Italy -- no issues with that order. Ordered a refurbished Ring 2 video doorbell last year -- no issues. Recently ordered a refurbished 2019 13" MacBook Pro to replace my MacBook -- I'm not expecting any issues with this order either.
I almost pulled the trigger on that deal as well but held off because the refresh should be around the corner, and the two things I dislike most about my 2017 are the keyboard and only two USB ports. I’m willing to wait and pay a couple hundred more for 4 USB ports and that new keyboard.

As for Woot, I know it gets some hate here but I’ve ordered everything from Bluetooth speakers to a pot and pan set to a refurbed iPad Pro, and aside from the glacially slow shipping have never had an issue with them.

I think some folks still like these because they can run an older home theater / smart home controller app. As a single-app device, they're can be good enough.
My older iPad mini is pretty much only used to control Sonos. And even it isn’t 1st gen.

granted the 2011 MacBook Pro is dated
but if you can get your hands on the 17 Inch model with the i7 4 core processor GET ONE!
the last 17 inch laptop Apple made and yes it does run high Sierra but BEST Apple Laptop EVER!
I own one and they are completely repairable and upgradable.
Is that the one with the fatal GPU issue?

Do.Not.Want.

not a very good deal. Plus i would avoid woot at all costs. my only experience with them got me an obviously used, damaged, non-working product and non-existent customer service.

While I agree selling these devices is nothing short of highway robbery, I have had a few great experiences buying electronics on Woot. Would recommend.
