So swallowing your pride and producing a phone you were dead set against producing is ignoring your customers?

Rediculous, click bait.

Apple's "thin" mantra (even for stationary desktop computers) is an obvious sign of Apple thinking inside.

Whoever wrote this article must have just started following Apple when the iPhone was announced 2 weeks ago.

Apple has ALWAYS designed the products they wanted to make. I mean, ****, if we had blogs in 1997 someone would have written this same article about the original iMac.

Apple will always focus on making their devices 'thinner.' It's all they've ever done since 2006. This will unfortunately, more often than not, make them weaker than the thicker devices.

Nothing new here.

Design is what made Apple huge.

Apple deliberately gave the designers the leading role, and not the engineers.
That way Apple could build the devices people WANT, not just a sum-up of the parts.

That's why consumers love Apple products.

It's just the tech-geeks who criticise this. And, these are far, far in the minority.
