Death of VisualHub

With the death of VisualHub and the code being opensource
has anyone come out with a good videoconverter?
for some reason its just converting some AVIs well anymore... so want to know if there is another good. fast converter out there

You could try iSquint, it has a layout eerily similar to visualhub.
it only converts into mp4, but on a mac, what else would you need?
