I think non-esr Firefox has required SSE2 since 49.

Sad news - Firefox 78 will be the last major release for Mavericks (as well as Yosemite and El Capitan). But we knew it was going to happen...

Oh, well, will continue to use it to access my bank account and pay my bills.. remember, I am behind 5 firewalls and EXTRA Xfinity security, so I won't be needing to do anything else. Seems, TLS and SSL's work great for intel, because PowerPC to them is dumb which is sad..

Sad news indeed, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. I wonder what sort of exotic/obscure Mozilla offshoot we'll be relying on for "modern" browser support in the near future. Maybe we should start asking Cameron Kaiser to start planning for TenElevenFox...

Just put everyting behind firewalls.. you won't need the SSL or TLS anymore.

Firefox 78.1.0esr & 79 have landed. It feels weird to be on the esr branch now

That's good to know (and interesting as I'd have thought Chromium to drop support earlier than FF).
