December Delivery

Created this for folks like me who weren’t fortunate enough to get launch date or even November delivery. While I’m excited for the folks who are tracking shipment right now and can’t wait to see first impressions, I have to wait over a month to get my hands on the X. After being in your number for every launch I’ve ever participated in, it’s just kinda sad being on the outside. Any other December folks out there? Do y’all think it’s possible our dates will get bumped up? I’m in the 11-18 group.

Hey, you win some and you lose some. It's life.

Having missed out most of the previous preorders I'm excited to finally get in on launch day delivery.

When did u get your order in? I ordered late for one and I still got 12/5-11

I’m also in the 11th-18th group. Ordered around 6AM EST. I was hopeful that we would be shifted up as the others have been but as time goes, I’m definitely losing confidence.

Oh well, it’ll be an early Christmas present I reckon.
 
My wife's iPhone Upgrade Program application failed after 6 hours (was told not to place a new order until I received an email)... So I placed a new order and got a delivery date of December 11th-18th.

Got an email from Apple asking if I placed and new order or if I hadn't to place a new order and send them the order number.

After doing so, her delivery date was moved up to November 17-24...

Mine will be here on the 3rd...

First time ever getting one delivered on launch day.

In 2012, I actually did the stand in line thing and got an iPhone 5s that way. Other than that I've always had to wait for the iPhone.

im in the same date group but im going to a store friday early and waiting in line... worst case ill cancel my preorder.
 
My 6s+ was ordered in october and set for first: 1 week, then 6 weeks.. and set for december after the first week passed it changed to 6 days from now.. and was delivered 5 later.

So who knows how it goes!
 
Some advice, try this Thursday at roughly 10 p.m. and order online for store pick-up on launch day if you are lucky enough to have an Apple Store nearby.

Has Apple announced that option will be available? Previously when they did store line ups they have turned that feature off for the first few days after launch.

Oh, I didn't know that. Come to think of it. I have always gotten one on the 2nd and 3rd day after launch day using that feature.
 
I’m in the December 11-18 group also. I would love to get it sooner, but glad I’m getting it before Christmas.
 
Dec 4th - 18th here. Had a 3:11 AM order with a delivery date, but because of a system glitch at AT&T they said the order would not ship even though I had an order number and it showed up in the system. They had to cancel it so I could reorder which came in with a Nov 2nd - 10th ship date, but I picked the 30 month option by mistake and was told by them that I could not change the plan and had to cancel that one too. Found out later from another rep that wasn't true so that's how I ended up at the current ship dates. :rolleyes:

I have checked the AT&T site today and looks like ordering now will get you in the late November ship dates so maybe there'a a bit of hope for a pre-December delivery.
 
Ordered from the Apple Store App. December 12-19 for me. I’m hoping once all the initial orderes are shipped, those dates will get bumped up.

Some were predicting people would not get the X until next year if you did not pre order the first hour.
5-6 weeks is not bad at all considering what was expected.

I emailed the orderupdate@apple.com email to explain how I was affected by the Citizens One server issue when I was signing up for the IUP. I included my order number, and they replied the next day apologizing and telling me to check my order status in 3 days.

I'm happy. It's not the 3rd, but it's a big improvement!

Just check the stock at stores close to you and reserve when you see it on-line. I think it will refresh every night at 10pm.
 
I got lucky this year, but last year was looking at a similar delay for the 7 Plus. After a few weeks went by, I started checking iStockNow and eventually found limited stock at my local Apple Store one afternoon. I left the office immediately and high-tailed it over there. Picked up phones for my wife and myself and cancelled my online order. I was lucky they didn't sell out during my half-hour drive there.

So you might try that (if you have a store near you). But it will be a few weeks before they start getting enough in-store for this to bear any fruit. Typically the stores get a small shipment around twice a week. You'll have to set up an email alert in iStockNow and be ready to jump when you get the word.
 
Mines 12/12 - 12/19/17 but I didn't pre-order. I decided late on Saturday that I wanted to check it out so I ordered it then. I don't mind the wait. Hopefully in the mean time the Sim-free model will come out and I can cancel my Verizon model. I'm aware that this will push the date more out but then chance is that Apple store will have few in stock by the time the iPhone X sim-free model is available on apple.com

BTW. I received my Spigen iPhone X Neo Hybrid case that I ordered and damn looks small compared to my iPhone 8 Plus.
 
I set an alarm for 2:50am to get ready for the preorder. (I'm an IUP user so i figured it'd be fast and simple) While waiting for it to drop i end up falling asleep with my iPad and iPhone in front of me and woke up around 5am and now my ship date is Dec11-17th. I've had every single iPhone on launch day and I'm STILL mad as hell at myself over this. I'm gonna go to a store this Friday around 5am and just camp out and wait.. I cant wait until December. Not only do i not wanna wait but it will affect me getting the new phone next year unless i randomly make a few more payments. Either way i feel like that is a waste. (Coming from an iPhone7+)

See i preordered 3 hours late and have a december ship date and yet you ordered a whole day after me and basically have the same shipping date..

Question about trying to buy it from apple store Friday. I signed up for the apple upgrade program for this phone. If I go to buy it at the store, will that same program I applied and was approved for transfer to that phone so that I can cancel the one I have on order?
