I just came back on one of those, great flight.

yeah, im doing an Air transport Management degree at Lboro. its a really interesting and dynamic course. i love everything related to aviation, but the only problem is that my uninterested engineering friends are like....what?

how about you? where did you come back from? the 340-600's usually do the asian routes, and sometimes the american ones.

20 points for anyone who can tell me the airline (easy) and another for the model of aircraft. and a bizzilion points to whoever guesses the origin and destination of the flight.

Virgin Atlantic and judging by the fuel dump valve and the No. 4 Engine exhaust cone, definitely A340-600.

Hmm, is that sunrise or sunset? It looks like sunrise so you'd be flying west from Asia or Land of Oz with the stopover, maybe?

Or you could be departing LHR in the evening, easterly, for one of the above, in which case it's sunset but It looks like sunrise. I know more -600s are replacing 744s on LAX route so you could be flying Trans-Atlantic early morning? Not flying easterly in late evening because your pic looks like sunrise.

Too many possibilities!

I'm going to guess LHR-LAX, or LHR-MIA, or SYD-stoperver somewhere, I forget where-LHR.

Or one of the other ones

I created it myself using some graphics from the Apple Store and the new version of Macromedia Fireworks 8. (I can pop the original file on my iDisk if anyone is interested!)
