gosh, it'd be nice if you'd thumbnail these desktops so you could actually see them in total and not have to use the sliders. cheers

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Just open the image in Preview and save it in a lower quality and upload it as an attachment. I believe it has to be under 200k.

... or use imageshack.us or a similar site which creates a thumbnail. I recommend that approach because then you can post a full size, high quality shot.

Yeah, that's also a good idea. Maybe I should check out imageshack. I use ImageCave right now, but I don't think they do thumbnails.

I'm in agreement. We could scale them down so the width is no larger than 720 pixels to accommodate the lowest denominator for those with 12" iBooks or 800x600 displays.

I made an exception with Katie Melua, however. I refuse to downsample her awesomeness. :D

Tip for posters: Use the tag to inline your images, after you've uploaded an image for attachment. Substitute image.jpg with the name of your uploaded image.

Desktop for past couple days. I change mine almost every other day without fail. By the way, big thanks to Benjamin for posting links of your desktop(s). You cant spell benjamins without Benjamin, you my friend are awesome!

EDIT: Read the previous post and decided to take the image out of the body of the message (even though 'twas 1024x786). S'rry to all fellow 12" owners..

Added two more Chinese ones: shí jiàn (knowlegde and experience) and zhì (wisdom).

I'm also looking for a nice clipart (or rather photo) of some holly to make a seasonal desktop, but haven't found any good enough. Anyone know of any nice (free) clipart/photo sites with pictures of holly...?

Christmas is great, but I'd much rather have Patrick Dempsey under my tree....Here's the Dr. McDreamy wallpaper that's been gracing my 12" PowerBook screen. I'll have to post another one when I get my 20" ACD on Saturday, so for now this will have to do.

i like having colourful desktops. i spend a lot of time at my computer and it depresses me when everything's dark and whatnot.

pink is supposed to be the most calming colour apparently

Dark billiard green will make you sleepy.
Bright apple green and sky blue colors will make you smart.
Dark burgundy will make you horny.
Butter yellow, pastel oranges and muted greens will make you calm.
White will make you concentrate.
