December Desktops!!!

Pretty standard summer storm. I think this was taken last Saturday - we had a decent one come through and dump all of November's rainfall (61mm) in about 2 hours.

I'm pretty sure there was no major property damage, you should see some of the other ones that are posted. I'll have a link soon.

There was one today that petered out too soon but was expected to bring cricket-ball-sized hail, would've been pretty scary but it fell apart just as it was looking like being a doozy.

They start at the bottom of page 3 and go onto page 4. If you want them be quick cause the whole lot get dumped fairly regularly. Once I get into town and off the dial up I'll put them up somewhere a little more permanent.

These aren't my photos though so no kudos to me.
 
Here's mine - a photo I took last Christmas when I was on a walk with my family down by Hadleigh Castle, near where I'm from. Makes me feel all Christmassy, although may not have that effect on others....

Took the photo a couple summers back with a Canon D.Rebel...a wee bit of color correction brought out some of the colors. :)

Nice pic. Do you have a link for that? Also which contact list style is this? Looks great with the desktop. Thinking of Adium reminds me that I wanted to finish my script... off to do that. :D

I'm afraid don't have it uploaded (I took it myself). I'm thinking of using it in a book, so I'd rather not give it out to people if that's ok, but if I decide not to use it, I'll give you a PM.

As for Adium, it's a contact list style called "Lau" and a color theme called "Lau" :D Actually it's mainly a mix of "Pure Milk" style and "Fresh" colour, with Group Bubbles set (I purposely only have one group), but I tweaked the spacing and used Lucida Grande as the font. Oh, and I used some slightly different greys for the names.

If you know a way I can get in to Adium and find the themes I've saved as "lau" as files, let me know and I'll happily email them to you (or anyone else). Save you having to tweak those other themes.


edit: Never mind, I found them! I can't attach them here though. Diatribe, or anyone else who wants them, if you PM me your email address I'll send them to you. :)

Anyways, it's the same desktop as last month, the month before, the month before that , and the month thereafter..

Small doses, at widely spaced intervals :p I forgot I made him by desktop the other day. I closed a couple windows and he popped out at me. I actually flinched. :eek:
