Has anyone else been having problems downloading this?

It's an awesome desktop, I've been trying to download it. I found the link to the icon set but when I download it the file contains "no items".

New background, no other real changes since last month. I love this image, though.

I visited that place in 2002 and it was a very humbling experience I walked away with a whole new outlook of life and how things can change very faster and not always for the good. The rest of my trip to hawaii was great too :D.

Here is mine that I'll take through the weekend to honor my grandfathers that were there.

couldn't have said it better myself. I notice the menu bar has no user name in it. this might be an extremely basic question, but how do you get the menu bar to do this since you obviously cannot erase your username all together?

uhh...I...don't...know? I don't really mess with the appearance of my computer accept if I change the desktop. I don't thing I've ever had my username in my menu bar now that I thing about it.

ok... hmmm. so if you go back up to my posted desktop, which is only a few posts back you can see a bit of my username rendered, yet your username is nowhere to be seen. I do see a little white blip, is that where your name would be? and you have never had a username up there, I thought it was always there? news to me

I don't have my username in the menubar either. If I turn on fast user switching it appears, but since I'm the only user....

sorry all to the very very brief thread hijack. last question: if i switch fast switching off, can i still require that in order to operate the mac you still have to enter a password?

Yep. Just make sure "Automatically log in as:" is unchecked under Login Options of the Accounts preference panel. Then if you want, you can use the Security panel to require a password to wake from sleep or the screensaver.

Here's mine.. nothing that fancy but i like! :)
