Not to be lazy but I don't have the original link, however, typing in danboard wallpaper into google is sure to get the original.

EDIT: Updated with original

There's a thing called image hosting website. And what's wrong with using attachments to upload the original wallpaper along with the desktop pic?
Well I guess you are lazy...

Updated, hope thats better for you now.

Apple + Shift + 4 and spacebar would like to say hello to you.

I fail to see how selector tool helps, I'd be cropping off such a large portion of the image it would be far too tight around the danboard, but thanks for the suggestion.

Since we're nine days away from Christmas I thought I'd change my desktop to something a little more festive, and something a little less Star Wars :).

121609_desktop.png

I found this desktop on Gizmodo's 107 Dazzling Christmas Lights contest. This one is the 2nd Runner Up (IE: Second Loser… but I liked it the best).

Custom application icons were used for Finder, Mail (Star Wars: A New Hope), Safari (Pith Helmet & Machete), Firefox (Compas), Adium (Adium Duck w/MacBook Pro), iTunes (Headphones), VLC Media Player, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, World of Warcraft Launcher (Custom icon by me) & Trash Bin (Transparent Trash). Custom folder and drive icons are from the "Pry Frente" icon set by Jonas Rask. All of these were inserted with CandyBar v3.2.2.

Bowtie is being used for the iTunes information bar at the top. I'm using The Dark Knight - Reloaded theme by Roberto Urso.

DateLine is used for the calendar above the Dock.

GeekTool is of course used for the Hard Drive Information & IP Information. The Hard Drive Info & IP Info font is Lucida Grande.

Yahoo Widgets! are used for the weather and clock.

CUSTOM FONTS
Lucida Grande: I'm pretty sure this is an Apple system font

What a post!

Love the background, but could never use something that active myself. I would end up just staring at it all day.

A+ for Sick Puppies too. Just saw them Monday night. Amazing show!
Thanks!

Wow, you really have a lot of free time!
Well being currently unemployed will do that for you ;).

Seriously thought, I've just seen too many posts in the Desktop Series where people ask for fonts, icons, wallpapers (Even though your supposed to post those), GeekTool stuff, Bowtie themes, etc. some of which never get answered, the person asking has to ask multiple times or they get multiple requests from different people - all of which detracts from the main point of the thread. So I figured with my desktop posts I'd head that off by giving you everything! That way everyone can take the pieces they want and no one has to ask for content because it's all right there. Instead, people are free to ask questions on how I did something if they want to as opposed to worrying about where I got something.

Like those trash bins I'm using. There are about eight different colors in the archive file from interfacelife.com and they were done way back in 2005 so some people may of used them, switched to something else and long forgotten them. Well I've only been doing this on a Mac since October so all of these icons and wallpapers are new to me and since I'm using them now they might be rediscovered.

Now that I have a template that works it's really just a matter of plugging in whatever is new, removing stuff that's no longer used and posting. I tend to keep all the original files so even if I can't remember where I got it google will usually remember for me... easy!

The text-only icons look was getting old.

The icons are from the Iconfactory World of Copland (1996-1999) icon set series.

Adium icon is macbook adiumy by szilard.

'paper is from Pixelgirlpresents.

I don't use Geektool anymore either.

As follows:
Finder, Firefox (yes kiddies that's a USRobotics modem!), Adium, Terminal, X11, TextWrangler, TextEdit, MacAmp Lite X (yes, that MacAmp. You know, before iTunes was popular? circa 2002), iTunes (because MALTX doesn't always do the job and I don't use Audion because it crashes whenever I tried to make a playlist. It was PPC anyway.), Trash.

That thing to the right of the dock is the MALTX miniplayer.

NOTE: I don't use MALTX anymore because I use an Intel machine and it's PPC, so it hogs memory like nobody's business.
