I haven't posted in one of these threads for months, mainly because I've been really lazy and not changed my desktop I guess. Just the main display this month, still pimping applegeeks although not in collaberation with megatokyo this time.

edit: sorry bout the size.... maybe i'll find a way to fix that...
edit2: got it :)

this by far the best windows desktop i have ever seen

I would love to share my desktop, but I've only had a Mac for a countable number of hours and have yet to find out how to take a screenshot, let alone find a good FTP!:)

I'll describe it for you; a Blue and grey fractal, from the same place Blackheart got his. Standard everything else, bar Adium added to the dock. See, I can do computers, me.:)

Can't take credit for the Dylan toon...just the arrangement.

Here's one I just changed it too and I thought I'd try out Konfabulator after I saw some of you with it.

The screen shot: (Apple Key) + Shift + 3

The screen shot will appear on your desktop in PDF format.

right but than how would you change the file type? photobucket doesn't allow PDF's

How about using "Grab" instead? It'll save the image as a TIFF. You can then convert the file type using Graphic Converter (or Photoshop, or what have you). If you are very haxor, you can do "Attach a Folder Action" to your desktop, so that it automatically converts TIFFs to JPEGs and saves a copy, without you having to do a thing (I don't know much about "Attach a Folder Action," only that I discovered it accidently the other day and it is pretty darn cool).

I never understand why people convert their screenshots in graphhics converter or photoshop. It seems like more work than needed. Just export it to jpeg right in preview. Just make sure the target size is 102400 bytes.

Glad you approve! :D

I found the pic on this guy's website and cropped it to fit my cinema display.

If you're interested, there's an article on the artist and how he created the image here.

Thanks for the links! I really enjoyed reading the second one!
