How do you guys get your pictures to maintain resolution and not get stretched when u set them as ur desktop backround?

Resolution can't be maintained when it is stretched. You have to start with a photo or pic with high enough resolution to support your screen size. This applies to rasterized graphics only.

So, if you screen has a resolution of 1600x1200 dpi, your photo must be that big. If your photo is only 800x600, when you blow it up to 1600x1200 size you are still going to only have 800x600 "pixels" just twice as big.

Very nice neoelectronaut, I dig that.

After checking out everyone's themed desktops, I decided to get one of my own.

I don't know if it will stay, because I don't like the way the tools look in Photoshop and Illustrator. But this theme sure looks sweet when those apps aren't use!!

With Finder as your active app : View > Show View Options 🙂

or if you want really big icons... like say... 300, maybe 400 pixels, then you just edit the com.apple.finder.plist file. 😀 and get some thing like this:
