I very regularly rip my CD's to MP3's. Problem is often this results in filenames with track1.mp3, track2.mp3 etc without any MP3 info. On pc, I always used Mp3Tag to fix this. What programs are good (and free) for Mac?

Yeah I know but I have a pretty large collection of MP3's that still need tagging. On pc, the program I used was great to collect any missing information.

Has anyone used TuneUp? It looks easy-to-use and seems to have good reviews from various sites. $19.95 for a year though.

I need the same thing as lapino, that will include everything in the tags and keep the filenames neat through iTunes. Any more impressions would be great :)

Im glad you brought this one up. I too am looking for a decent replacement for MP3 Tag and have no objection to paying if it works, so I also welcome all your recommendations.

If you have used tag&rename, then you are probably going to be disappointed with the offerings on the Mac side. At least I have. This program along with a few more are the only reasons I bought vmware and have windows on my machine.

One that I have used that does an ok job is XLD. But that is so far has only done it for me if I am ripping not so much for adding info in after the fact.
