Hi,

I am attempting to use Google Docs offline, and while there's the offline setting that you can use to edit in your browser etc, it basically fails me every time and crashes, so I have considered that it can't be relied upon.

I am wondering whether anyone knows of a decent third party app for OSX that lets you edit within Google Docs offline and isn't just a browser pretending not to be a browser. I've tried 'Collections', which was really no help at all.

Does anyone have ideas for this? I'm also using Pages some of the time, but it interacts pretty badly with the Word documents my work colleagues send me to review, and sadly I don't have Word (and don't particularly want to buy it).

Thanks in advance!

I don't know how Google Docs works offline but for something other than Pages or Word for Word documents, the following works well: https://www.libreoffice.org
