I need to clean up Declutter my Mac Book Air best app. Monterey 12.7.6

MY laptop has files, photos, documents, notes, archives and many duplicates that are scattered throughout my laptop it is a total mess.

I mean...how bad are we talking? Are you looking to free up storage space or just organization?

You can make use of Gemini 2 to find duplicates, though the free version IIRC is limited. You can also make use of Smart Folders in Finder. Have Finder locate all your TXT, word, JPG, etc files and put them all in one spot. Then from there you can organize them in a way that works for you.

Many thanks. I need to both free up storage and deal with many duplicates. I dont know how to use or even find smart folders. Do i search for .docx and will that grab every word document no matter where located ? I may just purchase Gemini2 quicker, comprehensive ? Does the lot ?.
Thanks Again.

Here's Apple's page on Smart Folders from its Mac User Guide:
