Anyone see or heard of someone maybe acid etch their Aluminum PB? It'd be like a tattoo. Or maybe somone who's painted one?

I think it's a neat idea.

never seen, but it's obviously possible. i think that would be amazing assuming you had a nice design to put on it. if it was a bad design well...what a waste :p.

if i ever get a G5 Powerbook, I will definitely look into personalizing it in this way (custom paint job too!).

that being said, there is a web site that does custom painting of powerbooks, forgot the name, but they looked excellent.

www.colorwarepc.com

you can buy a pre-painted powerbook or iBook, or you can send yours in to get painted. i dont know if they do custom stuff, but search around. ive heard a lot of good stuff about the site. but do realize any painting will void apple care

that's pretty sweet! if i ever have $400 laying around i wouldn't mind getting that done... but trying to decide on a color would be way too hard!
