So I started a 10.13 upgrade from 10.12 last night, from the OS, and it failed on reboot. I tried then initiating the upgrade from Internet Recovery, but got an error at some point that the drive was not accessible. I eventually figured out that the SSD was encrypted, which I hoped was what was blocking the upgrade. So I researched how to turn off FileVault from the terminal window there. Ran the command that I think is correct, and it told me that it was starting to decrypt. Right now though, 24 hours later, the "diskutil cs list" command shows me the logical volume family with Encryption Status Locked, Conversion Status Converting, and Reversion State Pending. For the logical Volume below, Revertible: says "Yes (unlock and decryption required).

I don't want to interrupt the process, but at 24 hours I'm not seeing the percentage progress that the internet tells me I should be seeing. Any idea what I should do next? Thank you -

Update - I just exited the terminal window and started the OS install again. Upon selecting the SSD to install, it says "Filevault conversion in progress". Does that give any hint as to what to do next?

From what I know, there is no way to decrypt a FileVault-encrypted drive without first installing an OS. You might just leave it at the disk utility screen and see what happens.

disktutil cs list should give you a conversion progress report. Use that to see how far along it is now and if it's continuing to progress. You need to wait it out.
Yeah it was supposed to do so, but never gave any percentage progress.
