That surely is valid for rMini, but discounts for the Air look like for a product at the end of its lifecycle. Looks like the Air stocks are not flying off the shelves as Apple expected? I don't remember previous iPads being discounted so quickly after the launch.

You really do not understand do you?

It is not Apple that is offering a discount it is the retailer.

It has nothing to do with how well they are selling it is all about the retailer wanting to move it's stock.

Deep discounts on Air, no discounts on rMini - WHY?

I understand that third-party sellers are normally cheaper, but why buy from them?

Whenever your product breaks and it's on them, they shrug it off as owners damage and to just buy another. Of course these are for the sellers in the middle of nowhere.

ACTUAL stores like Best Buy or Target is fine. But why buy from others that aren't reliable?

Because apple takes full responsibility and backs their products. Have a problem? Go to the apple store and they'll sort it out, regardless of where you bought it. Only thing you can't do is return it at apple, you have to go back to the retailer you purchased from.

Just pick iPad Air today at frys electronics for $379.00 after $100 gift card, hard to pass up, no waiting in line anymore.....

I'm a couple of pages late, but the lack of discounts could be because do a couple of reasons:

1) supply: why offer discounts when they are selling everything they make at regular price

And

2) the iPad Air has been out longer and is in much more ample supply.
