You ever seen a Picnic bar? It already looks like a big poo, deep-fried would just make it look worse.

I haven't seen one of those for years! We definitely used to get them over here (and the Cadbury website implies we still do), but I don't remember seeing them for a while. They are a little... organic looking... :p

Would deep-frying a real poo make it taste any better?

Am sure there are pics somewhere on some dark corner of the internet.

And Lau, I was in Edinburgh around 1993-4, and I remember the deep-frying craze being quite new then. Leith was one of my favourite areas, as it reminded me of the fish-markets back in my native Cornwall.

Used to walk there from Pollock Halls (a godforsaken housing estate full of depressed students which was where I lived). Joke of the day was altering the signs to call it Bollock Halls. The university got their own back by calling the arid and soulless bar for first year students 'Professors', just to depress us even more. Oh how we laughed in these days.

While reading the paper today I came across this article (well one similar to it anyway) about a guy in Texas that deep-fries coke. Has anyone actually eaten this? I can't even imagine what it's like.

The most unusual thing I've had deep fried was a Mars Bar, which was surprisingly good, though I'm sure my arteries thought otherwise. I've also heard about deep fried pizza.

What other strange things have you had deep fried?

Every year at the Texas State Fair there's a new sensational fried food. This years was the fried coke, there was also fried snickers bars, and fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The fair is also home to Big Tex. (on the left hand side select "Hear Big Tex" for a greeting.....)

No, the answer is no.
