Anybody got Deep Purple and returned? for me looking with a distance it don't look that different from space black or space gray, is not like the Sierra Blue from last year that had some impact... deep purple feels boring

I loved that Deep Purple but I knew I would get bored of it real quick, pretty much the same way I did with Midnight Green.
Great colors but I always go back to black (or graphite) which imho are the best option: sleek, timeless, perfect match with any phone case. No brainer.
Got Space Black and no regrets.

Exactly MG and PB were the same. In indoor light they always look black or dark gray.
I do have a space black but the black stainless steel sides do make the bezels look thicker than they are. Thinking of returning mine for perhaps a silver or a purple.

Honestly feels like someone in their 50s is picking these colours from the archive room folders that hold old correspondence.
Got PURP. I don't got time to think about what color I have. 5 mins later after pick up @ apple store on launch day went into a spigen case. The end.
Had purple. Returned it for space black. The steel band is ridiculously striking.
Sadly Apple forgot how to apply interesting colors to metal sometime after the Nano-Chromatic iPods in the mid-late 2000s.

This is going to sounds nuts but when I apply a screen protector on the phone it tricks my eyes into thinking we got smaller bezels. Yes, this is weird but it works for my eyes for some reason.
To me, Apple products are either black or white traditionally. Other colours are fun to have, but IMHO they don't look like Apple products when you do that. This year I've gone with White/Silver. Zero regrets.
This is weird. The obvious psychological aim of colors on pro phones is to appear understated and esteemed. If you want a phone that glows in your accent color, get the regular 14. Or put a colored case on.

I had already set my sights on Space Black PM and I am happy with it!
I think the Pro's should always have a basic black and white. But through in a couple fun colors along with them please cuz this is getting boring!
Yeah I don't know why Apple insist on these washed out colours, why can't it be like the blue on the normal 12? Vibrant and... blue. It's such a poor shade of purple imo.

That was not the case with Sierra Blue for me the best iphone color ever and was beautiful color that you can identify from far away.... if you think about people choose the newest color to be seen and for other to know you have the greatest and latest, with deep purple nobody will care
If you could even call it purple! It’s more of a dark gray with a hint of purple, and only in good sunlight.
When I saw it at the store, which good lightening, I wasn’t impressed. It’s like a variant of gray. The winner this year is Silver. The Space Black has a nice dark black band, but I wish the back itself was also black. The dark gray just doesn’t go all the way for me.
Only good reason to choose the new colour would be because you like it… nobody will care if they see that you have the latest phone.
