This is just too cool to pass on, it looks groovier than 3DBoard :D

The beta is very stable and can be downloaded from http://rpetri.ch/repo/

I was excited to read this, then I installed and apparently if you are theming your springboard it doesn't do anything. Would love this to work in conjunction with my Elite Pro HD theme!

Update: I stand corrected! It is not the theme but rather the weather widget I was using on my homescreen. Very cool!

That's too bad, as this looks very cool. I wonder if he can make it work with themes? Seems a bit short-sighted if it can't.

I love these slightly off the wall tweaks. Reminds me of Graviboard a bit.

what type of wallpaper would be good for this? with standard apple tear drops it doesnt really work well.

Not sure what exactly you mean by "theming your springboard". I'm using Black UPS Darkness and iBlank and this tweak works as advertised.

If you have a widget on your SB then this thing won't work. I have one of LEXS widgets on mine and this tweak doesn't work. Once I shut it off, then the tweak works perfectly.

You are correct. It works fine with EP HD as long as you don't have a widget on your home screen (I did). After I removed it, it worked as expected. Very cool!

Very cool.

I've seen a similar trick before, but it required mounting a wiimote to your computer monitor and the sensor bar to your head (demo had it on a hat).

Then again, regular computers don't have a gyroscope.

Does anyone know what background he is using? I tried the stock apple tear drops and it didn't seem to work to well

i hope the dev makes an update that supports widgets.
i'd love to use this but between widget and deepend, gotta go with widgets =(

how about we collectively tell each other what wallpapers are good.... what works and what doesnt. that will help.

I tried it, was nice but I missed the crispness of my wallpaper. It also gave me a darker status bar on springboard. Still it's a very nice idea.

Did not like it. Tried many different wallpapers, patterns and pictures. When slowly tilting it, it just makes the wallpaper move up and down, there was no 3D-like effect. Nice idea but didn't work. At least it was free!

I asked the dev (rpetrich) via twitter about the conflict with my home screen weather widget. His tweet back: "Themes will work, just not any that use html backgrounds or other weirdness (I don't intend to add support).

Oh well, it's still cool :)

Yep, it was interesting. Played with the settings as much as I could and it never looked right.

Cool tweak, but since there's no "Enable/Disable" setting, I had to delete it.
