I have the latest Mac mini running Mavericks + four Airplay speakers round the house, via power-line Ethernet and a couple of AEs.
All work perfectly through iTunes, but I also use one as the default (selected through Audio Midi) to stream sound from XBMC.
What's driving me nuts is that the default Airplay device keeps changing at random from Living Room to (e.g) Kitchen Speakers or Bedroom Speakers... so film audio merrily pumps out in another room until I open Audio Midi and change it back.
It happens with different routers, reboots don't make a difference and it chooses the new default speaker apparently at random.
I'm stuck - any thoughts appreciated!
