Is there a way to set the default calendar of a new event in iCal?

I am a MobileMe subscriber and it's important that events added from the iPhone sync with our several desktop Macs.

I have two sets of Calendars, one "on my iPhone" and one "MobileMe".

Right now, new events are by default set to a Calendar from the "on my iPhone" set. Events added to these Calendars do not sync with MobileMe.

I can change the Calendar to one from the MobileMe set, which does sync, but I often forget to do so and I have lost track of a few because they are not showing up on the desktop machines.

If I have MobileMe set up on the iPhone, why would the default new event Calendar be one that doesn't sync? Seems dumb, I am hoping there is a way to change this. If anyone knows how I'd love to know! Thanks!
