In iCloud settings I have set the default calendar to be one of my five calendars.

But when I add a new event in Calendar it is entered as a different Calendar and I have to change it.

    Anyone else? any fixes?

Default calendar is not set in Settings>iCloud.

Do you mean in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars?

Sorry yes, that is what I meant...last item on the Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars screen.

This is an iCloud calendar that belongs to you, I assume.

Have you tried signing out and then back into iCloud?

Thanks. Yes, both the calendar I want to be the default and the one the phone choses are ones I have created.

Not tried signing out of iCloud and back in. Always reluctant because of dire warnings, but know the data is re-downloaded from iCloud.

Does not happen all the time on all devices. One device where it is happening (iPad) only had an erase and setup as new last week.
