If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it.

I recently got booted off Mobile Me (like everyone else) and my current computer does not have Lion so I can't use iCloud on my computer. Because of that, I have to hard sync my calendars and contacts with iTunes.

I have no problem getting calendar events that I made on my computer onto my iphone, but I can't create new events using those calendars on my iphone. My iphone doesn't give me the option in settings anymore to choose my default calendar. It only lets me use my "Mail To Do" calendar. I can see my other calendars, but I can't edit or create events on them using my iphone. I went into my settings and the option to change the default calendar isn't even there anymore.

I think the problem is that the calendars are still trying to publish on Mobile Me, and in my iCal they are listing are under my mobileme account. I can't move them to "On My Mac" calendars. Is there anyway to do that? I looked in my iCal preferences and I can't figure it out without deleting those calendars completely and I don't want to lose all of my appointment info.

Can anyone help me out?!

To my understanding, the reason you don't have "Default calendar" is because you only have one calendar to choose from.

What I would recommend is try adding another calendar from like your Gmail account or something. That way you have 2. Then select the calendar you want as your default, or select the Gmail calendar as default and then switch it back.

Then remove the Gmail calendar and see what happens.
