Default Case Review (The 1-Cent Case)

We opted to send out the purple iPhone 4 DefaultCases with an explanation + a free followup Pretty Pink because we felt that it was not a positive consumer experience to have you wait completely empty-handed. Plus, free stuff! :p

Pretty Pink DefaultCases (that are actually pink) are in stock and shipping right now. We are considering making the purple DefaultCases an official color -- we've received numerous comments from customers who love the color. Cool story: The DefaultCase executive team was in Best Buy yesterday researching your current case options and one young man actually requested the purple one off of our COO's phone! :apple:

I would have to say that without a doubt, DefaultCase has the best customer service of any company I've dealt with. I ordered one of each color (except the pink) but wound up not receiving the white due to backorder issues.

I contacted them and they offered a complimentary case of another color for the inconvenience. I, jokingly, said I wanted an orange case. And then said I would take a black one instead. Within an hour I received an email confirming shipping of the black case AND and orange case! Haven't received either the white one or the new black or orange yet. Can't wait!

I think I may be the first person to receive an orange case :)
 
I ordered 4 of them for $16. I'm sick of all the black cases I've got. I need some color. They look a lot like the Incipio feather + perforate incase.
 
So I just got my cases in the mail.
It's overall a good case but found a huge issue.

The camera and flash hole causes a reflection when taking pictures with a flash.
The cutout in the OPs case looks bigger, mine is a bit smaller.

I take a lot of random pictures, so for me this is a huge downer. I ordered all the colours except Red, Grey and Pink and so far the Orange and Light blue are out. I will check the others when I get home and see if any of those are different.

DEFAULTCASE, if ur reading this, please do try and fix the issue. Otherwise the case is great! I love the bright Orange colour, i'm a HUGE Dutch Soccer fan!
 
Ya, they do have that issue. They made a "Revised Version" I have a couple of them, and they are worse. The fit isn't as firm anymore, Flash Issues with the camera. The thing they did make better is that there is more room for the volume buttons and its slightly thinner

Yeah, I saw the difference in your case and mine. The camera hole is exactly just like how it looks in the pictures on the website. There is no space around the camera and flash at all. The case is a bit loser and that's with the ZAGG front and back protectors.

I think I will be going back to the Case-Mate barely there case. It's a bit thinner and fits perfectly. Too bad they don't have a bright orange like Default Case does!!
 
damm nice case ...(regardless of the price).
great fits. silver color is a winner.
the texture feels comfy and soft.

gonna use it untill the aluminum/metal cases are fine-tuned interm of signal degradation problem !

Do u get any reflection when taking a picture with the flash on?


Might not be too bad with the silver case, but with the Orange case I have, it's terrible!
