Default extension

I installed Adobe Reader 8.0.x for the Intel Mac. I set it up as my default pdf app on my Mac. Eve after i did that, pdf document's open by default in Preview and not Adobe Reader. I even installed DefaultApps and double checked the extensions were linked to the Adobe Reader, and they are, but still all pdf docs open in Preview. It's just so irritating...any help guys..??😕

Find a pDF file in finder. Right Click - Get Info. Open with: - Change All.

go to a PDF document, get info, click open with and set it to Adobe, and then apply to all.

I just cannot figure out why this doesn't happen automatically. 🙄 I still have to figure out why other pdf's don't change their deault icons from preview to adobe reader. But all of them open in AR , which is good news! 🙂

they should change icon after they are opened once i believe.
