Hi folks,
This drives me absolutely bonkers. Again and again Word 2011 reverts the default language back into English (US) even though I continuously go into Tools -> Language and reset the defaults. What I want is English (UK).

What can I do?

For the sake of providing as much info as I can below are screen shots of all the relevant areas I can think of.

I don't use MS software, but I notice that the option to remove your custom dictionary is grayed out - as though it were not there.

Have you, in fact, got UK English installed in your system?

And, if so, is it the default language?

Hi old fella

Yes to the last two questions. The smaller of the pictures is the system settings.

Actually the keyboard is Turkish TL - QUERTY because of the country I live in. That is to say it's the keyboard layout.
Not sure what you are referring to specifically with the word setting.
Thanks for your help btw.

Answer above. Turkish TL - QUERTY is the input source...

Try changing layout to British - it can't hurt.

If no good, then Word may not be saving settings through restarts. Although, you would think that there would be more than one complaint - given the nature of this site. :)
