Why doesn't mac OS let users select the default webcam? Why does it have to be app-by-app, with most apps (including all the popular browsers) simply not having a setting for the default webcam?
I have a MBP 14 which I mostly use in clamshell mode, a Logitech c920 on my external display, and the Camo app by reincubate. For some reason, Camo is always the default webcam in all apps except for Zoom and Facetime. Annoyingly, I don't much use Camo and I must use Teams and Google Meets (on Chrome or Edge) for work.
I can't even uninstall Camo as it's a work laptop and I don't have admin privileges.
Sometimes Mac OS is still very, very far behind Windows in areas that should be super easy. I am deeply frustrated!
