iPad Defective Ipad Smart Case

Bought a week ago,never used out of home,treated carefully and this is what I get.I was just wondering as the case is so fragile and It is actually bought not a week ago but 5 days ago.

I was just wondering whether If this is normal as I used this iPad for only 5 days normally,treated the best as possible and this is what happens.With normal use,can these cases become like this in matter of days ?
