I haven't done an extensive field test or anything with my knock-off Cleave case, but sometimes I get full bars, and sometimes I'm down to 1 or 2 bars. I'm thinking it depends on the reception area as well. Still a great case IMO.

Vincent, can you PM me? Do you have any pictures of the case to see the wear and tear you were talking about?

...

I may be moving on from this case so if anyone is interested in trying it out and getting it for a good deal, please let me know.

Its the perfect case for me when it comes to aesthetics, style, and design but I can not keep it any longer.

I have been using this case for about 2 weeks now so please let me know if you have any questions I can help with.

No Problems till now ...

I was gifting an iPhone 4 for my little bro and the moment i saw the Deff Cleave Aluminum Bumper, i knew i had to get one :) Read the reviews and watched the videos on YouTube for extra info. Was getting concerned on the loss of signal many people were facing after installing the bumper. And moreover this iPhone 4 had a 5.0.1 JB custom firmware with 4.10.01 baseband - unlocked with Gevey Ultra (from Applenberry) & Furious Mod ! Anyway took the plunge and bought a New Black Deff Cleave from eBay UK, got it in less than a week.

Now had to do something about the signal loss problem. Google said that taping the sides of the iPhone with Sellotape reduced the problem a bit. Seems this was a common fix for the death grip effect faced by some. So using ZAGG's sides solution for iPhone 4 as a reference (image below - Left option), i taped the sides with Invisible Sellotape (this one had a matte kinda finish), the extra residue was carefully sliced off using a craft knife. Since the bumper would hide the tape anyway, i don't think my lil bro was concerned (it was transparent tape after all) ;).

The bumper installation went smoothly. Foam stickers that came along was cut to perfectly fit inside the bumpers, these were placed at all four corners, and one small piece was placed right above the death grip area.

Turning on the iPhone and passing the Gevey Unlock procedure. I got 5 Bars full signal. I was like - Awesome :D ! Turned on WiFi, and that's strong too ! Tested it inside and out, tho sometimes i lose 1 bar, it comes back quickly. I reside in the Middle East and i have to say i have no issues with this bumper whatsoever !

In the end - i made my lil bro a very very happy kid ;)

Sorry for bringing this thread back to life. But I was wondering if there are any reliable "Knock-off" of the case?

Money is a bit tight this coming months. But I'd really like to try this case out.

If there any good sellers on ebay or other websites. Please link me?

Thanks
