I already have Windoze 7 loaded and running via Bootcamp... But I wanna do a complete defrag of the drive/partition by booting from a different source (i.e.: USB flash or a USB external).. How can I do it?

I have access to VMware Fusion and Parallels. Can it be done through those apps?

I'm a 2011 27" iMac running El Cap.. My bootcamp drive is NOT partitioned. It's a whole separate 1TB drive.

Also while I'm here, is there a way to delete/remove the System Reserved partition that Bootcamp created??

Thanks!!!

I suggest not defragging unless you must. Just use the built in windows utility to do this - Disk Clean up in start menu somewhere.

I highly recommend not touching partitions while booting windows. This should only be done in OS X or in recovery mode of OS X. Just use disk utility in OS X to complete this

I 'can' use the Disk Cleanup and the defrag option from within windows. But it wouldn't be a complete defrag because it will not move files that are "in use". That's why I wanna start up from a USB external or from VMWare or Parallels.
