Delay between vibration and screen wake - iOS 10

Hey guys,
Just noticed something with my 6S. It was lying on my lap and I noticed that the phone vibrated and the screen woke up slightly after the vibration for a Whatsapp notification.

Is this delay normal?

Apologies if I'm being too OCD.

Have not heard from Alex lately, I guess there is no way he could hide and post under another name without us knowing it. Maybe he found that perfect phone.
