Hi, all. Hoping for some help in resolving an annoying development with Catalina.

I'm running a 2017 MacBook Pro 13" with Catalina 10.15.1 and an old Dell 2407WFP monitor. It's hooked up to the USB-C port via DVI-D and a DVI-USB-C adapter.

Pre-Catalina, the monitor came up as my second screen immediately upon plugging in the adapter. Since moving to Catalina, it now takes an hour or more before the monitor is detected. Works fine once it's going, but the delay is painful.

Wondering why this is happening, if it's happening to anyone else, and if there's any sort of a fix.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I'm having trouble with usb -c to hdmi connected to a LG tv. Before Catalina, it used to work & connected in few sec, but now I have to unnplug the cable & back in then it works unstill next reboot or after shut down

Thanks. I've tried the unplug/plug approach with no success. Very odd. Plugged in this morning when I got in (4 hours ago) and still no joy.
