Delay in Launching Applications

This is my first iphone (3g), but I have noticed that there is about a two to three second delay in launching a lot of applications, especially "settings," "notes," and some others. Are others experiencing this as well?

wait for the next update (make sure you have 2.0.1 though)
should fix a few more bugs
