I've added a text field on a view and I've checked the option "secure".
Trying the app I write inside the text field but characters are at first shown as they are, if I enter another character the previous changes into a bullet, but the last is shown as it is.
The last character turns into a bullet after a couple of seconds if don't enter enything else.

Which could the problem be?

I'm new to Apple world and I'm only using a virtual device, I didn't know about this behaviour.

Thank you :)

Is this not the normal/expected behaviour of an iPhone app?

Normal ? Yes.
Expected ? No.

Don't really like this behavior; if someone looks over your shoulder and has good eyes he can see your password. Ok, I know: choose a complicated and and be carefully when enter. But still: why the characters are visible? Could be a bit more secure with hiding from the start.

Maybe is worth to mention it in bug reporter.

Fat Finger Syndrome

I assume that the reason for this behavior is Fat Fingers. Like it or not typing on an iPhone is hit or miss. Typing a password blind would make me want to break something. Even with the current setup it's still a problem for me.

Or type so slowly that it would make it even easier for a shoulder-surfer to watch the keys you're hitting.

In any case, I'd be more concerned about the big letters that appear as keys are pressed on the keyboard, than the small letters that momentarily appear in the password field.
