Really disappointed...

Anyway, is this a hint that Apple is trying to correct the antenna issue ?

This is weird...you might get a revised iPhone 4 after all! Why would they change the date a day before the press conference..

Or maybe it is just an automated email generated since your iphone has not shipped and it is one day past the original estimated ship date?

At least your getting it

I ordered two phones on June 19th. Received one of them on July 9th well ahead of the 14th date. Was happy, still am. Love this phone, have no issues but I always use a case and planned to anyway. At any rate, yesterday rolls around so I call and see why the other hasnt shipped or even been prepared, bad news. Long story short: on phone with apple for 2+hrs, they entered my order wrong from the get-go (tried placing both orders for the same cell number--so no upgrade after activating the one), and after speaking to two managers, there is no way to change it. They were very helpful and apologetic but still had to cancel my order. They called every Apple store and retailer within a 3 hr drive of my location trying to find me one and/or putting me on waiting lists. I ended up just ordering a 32gb from Att as it seems they are shipping within about 7 days. Apple is sending me a FREE bumper and a FREE 8gb iPod nano for their mistake. Pretty nice gesture and I appreciate it but would much rather have my wife's phone ship when it should have instead of a case that I dont like and an iPod that Ill just give away.

I know I would try to correct it before shipping a product that might have to come back or be replaced, however they should have done this in the beginning, then with some more testing they would have upset ppl by delaying the phone but then they wouldn't have this PR mess all over their faces.

To me, they are doing things messy. I received an email yesterday, one day before the scheduled shipping date, saying there is a problem when they tried to activate the At&t set-up. So they request me to contact at&t to resolve this issue and tell me they will cancel the order if I can't resolve it in two days. I called both Apple and At&t and was told no any problem with my order, which means apple sent out this email by mistake. And today, the scheduled shipping date, they sent out the notice of delay with no clear reason. It is even not an excuse...
