I have a folder in Launchpad that I can't delete. it was left over when I deleted parallels and won't go, how can I delete it please

Did you try invoking LaunchPad, navigating to the page the folder is on and performing a "click and hold" on the folder to see if the "x" delete pops up on the folder?

yes but as soon as I clicked it got an error message saying parallels weren't uninstalled properly but I uninstalled it with cleanmymac

Well then...I suppose CleanMyMac didn't uninstall Parallels correctly. What a surprise! Who knows what other issues might arise?

If you can move the offending Launchpad folder to the first page of your LaunchPad icons you might be able to use the demo version of Launchpad Manager to remove it.

Just downloaded and used Launchpad Manager. Thanks for the suggestion. Had several apps that are no longer supported and couldn't figure out how to get rid of them. They did not get the "delete X" no matter what I tried. LP Manager worked perfectly!!

The delete X only appears on Apps from the App Store, not others , but I'm glad it worked ok , I'm surprised not many others have seen it because when I research to get Launchpad icons from there were plenty of terminal codes but no post except the one I saw leading to it , but as I say glad it worked for you ok, thanks for letting me know.
