Delete app backups? Free up mac space

Hi everyone,

I am having a tough time keeping free space on my mac. I use iCLoud to backup my iPhone. Does this mean I can delete backups of apps and stuff on my actual mac? Will app data be deleted?😕

No, app data will stay in your iCloud backups....

But if you use iTunes backups to restore, after deleting the apps, you won't get the actual apps back on your phone, the data will still be there, but you'd have to download the apps again manually from the App Store.
