I made the mistake on integrating Facebook into my contacts. UGH. Now even manually, it will not let me delete them from contacts. Any ideas?

I just turned FB contacts off in settings. That got rid of the duplicates. However some things stuck in there.

In contacts at the top left it should say "groups." Uncheck the facebook contacts and you should be left with just the ones you need.

Shoot, I'm an idiot- totally didn't see / think about that FB has it's own place in settings now. At least now I can manually delete them. Thanks!

Just cause I know this is a common problem and this comes up well on search.

I thought I'd spell it out.

To Delete Facebook Contacts from iOS 6

1. Tap Settings Icon from Home screen
2. Scroll down and find "Facebook"
3. Flip Contacts to OFF (see screenshot)

I also found the DeleteQ app great for deleting multiple contacts on the phone.

I did what you said and all the Facebook contacts are still there, did you mean that will allow me to manually delete them now?

yeah, you still have to delete them. Use that app to delete multiple entires.
