Hi pmcguire123

To delete files from you harddrive just drag them into you trash in the far right corner of the dock. Or two finger click the file you want to delete and select move to trash.

hope that helped luck futher with lion.

How are you able to tell there are 178GB of movies? Are you booted into Lion, or using another system to view your drive?

Need a few more details to be of more help. :)

hi i can see that the hard drive has got over 100 gig of movies but whwn i click on hard drive i cannot find them i moved them to external drive them deleted the from downloads and deleted from trash but they still show up that they are still on hard drive are they invisable files?

hi i click on apple icon top left then about this mac them more info and click on storage

If you're removing movies from iTunes, removing the movies directly from where they are stored on the drive and trashing them will delete the files themselves. You would then be left with [essentially] aliases of them in the iTunes Library. You can just delete those from iTunes.

Next time, you can just just to the deletion from with iTunes, and you'll be give the option to delete the file its self.
