One of my customers has an Apple TV which is nearly out of space. Anyways it currently is set to sync Music, Movies and Photos. Since they control music playback via iTunes on an iMac they do not need the Music to be stored nor the videos since they don't use that feature anyways just Photos. What I would like to know is how to delete the Music and Video libraries. I am trying to avoid a factory reset as it seems like there should be a way to simply delete these libraries but the Apple TV library is greyed out in iTunes so it appears Apple left out a useful feature. I have disabled syncing for Movies and Music but the library remains. What I am wondering is if when space runs out will the no longer synced data be wiped out in preference to photos which are synced? In the end only the playlists should be synced as they will be songs selected to accompany photo slide shows. While the bulk of the library should go as it is not needed. Is a factory reset the only option then re-sync with only the selected playlists and photos. I should also note that this is how I configured it for them originally as their ATV is only 40GB but they must have changed the settings while screwing around trying to configure learn how to use it.
