Brian33 macrumors 68000 Apr 30, 2008 1,578 443 USA (Virginia) Sep 30, 2011 #6 If I remember correctly, when you delete a photo in iPhoto ('08 anyway), it goes to iPhoto's Trash, not the OS X trash. You have to empty iPhoto's Trash before you'll recover the disk space.
