I can't seem to delete this item or it's subfolders.

I can delete it on the host machine, but not the machine that I migrated the user to.

Any ideas. The terminal gives me permissions errors and Delete Immediately does the same.

Not a huge folder, but I would like to blow it away for cleanliness.

Seems like if I turn off SIP I could do it, but I'd prefer not to do that.

Any solutions?

Turning off SIP seems to be a reasonable thing to do (just remember to turn it back on!).
As this article suggests, "Removing the contents should be safe as far as your Mac's operating system goes, just be sure to check the contents carefully for anything that looks familiar. If you have any third-party apps that don't work since you updated to Catalina, then the Relocated Items folder may well contain data related to them, but it likely needs updating by the developers in new versions of these apps. If you recognize custom configuration files in the Relocated Items folder, then you might want to keep them around for reference in case you want to recreate them at a later date."

And yes, it also suggests turning off SIP if any issues occur.

I may do that. I have to setup another MBA tomorrow, then I may tackle this one.

I am thinking of creating install media for the Big Sur update that just came out and making my first boot into recovery, then wiping, installing the latest version, and then setting up a fresh user.

Does that seem reasonable to you?
