Delete something from Launchpad

How do I delete this from my Launchpad?:
(The .Skype_Upgrade)


Usually I would delete whatever from my Applications folder then delete the icon in Launchpad, but I don't see that icon in my Apps folder

hold the app until it giggle then delete!

hold til it jiggles for MAS apps.

for non-MAS app, the above method doesn't work.

Don't you just delete it from your applications folder?

You can just delete the app from the application folder and that will remove it from launchpad even if you get it from the app store or from the internet

Like I said, the .Skype_Upgrade icon is NOT in my app folder.

Hidden file

Files that start with a full stop are hidden. Use Terminal:
cd /Applications
rm .Skype_Upgrade

To see hidden files in Terminal use
ls -a
