Hi guys

Before ios9 you could delete web browsing history only, and keep cookies active, meaning login and password data was retained. Now in IOS 9 they've bundled it together meaning delete 1 the other goes too, making you manually re-log in to every site you've previously been signed up to.

very annoying if you have a couple of colleagues (and the boss) who need to sometimes use the ipad with you. this means none of us can have private browsing, which is pretty important for us AND keep our regular website loggins passwords active. Clearing website data now clears all - website logins as well. very very annoying.

ideally 1 of 3 things would suit -

1) clear website history only, but maintain all cookies, like previous ios's do
2) an app that can achieve this?
3) separate log in sessions, which isnt available of course.

any suggestions?

You can delete history items from the History pane while in Safari. There's no way I don't think to delete it all, so have to do entry by entry, but at least one can delete specific entries.

Can also use Private Browsing. That doesn't create any history or cookie entries.

thought so :(

so, any app recommendations possibly? i know there's apps to manage just about every admin aspect in the ipad, but i cant find anything for this.

It will come back in ios 10 or 11. Apple like to remove and reinstate ios features. I think they feel it keeps ios fresh and small things make an upgrade seem worthwhile.

I feel they tend to remove things in the know that they dont really have much else to offer in future updates and so remove afeature only to re-instate said feature and list it as part of the "improved" ios experience...

Honestly, i am not much into conspiracy theories...But apple do tempt me..
