I have verizon unlimited now and maybe looking to switch to ATT unlimited. It just seems that ATT's LTE is faster and more responsive. Why do you guys think verizon is more reliable? Is it because of their CDMA voice technology?

How would you change it?

Keep Verizon cause it's the only unthrottled data provider

uh...i am throttled. It is widely known now that they throttle wherever there network is even somewhat congested.

Average speeds here in New England for Verizon from 7:00am to 7:00pm are 5-12mbps. They will tell you that right over the phone. They only have to give you what is in writing, and that's what is in writing.

That's incorrect info since they can not do so under FCC 700mhz rules

I had Verizon Unlimited in Feb of this year but switched to AT&T, because i wanted faster data speeds, better phone, accessories; plus i felt that the iPhone performed better on a gsm carrier. Do what makes you happier its just money.;)

I've had AT&T unlimited for a couple years and was able to convince Verizon to give me the $60 plan for unlimited talk/text + 2 gb data. Haven't cancelled AT&T yet, but I was on a road trip last week and lost AT&T service a bunch of times in the Georgia mountains, while Verizon never lost service.

Since I never use more than 500mb of data in a month, I'm probably going to switch to Verizon permanently. I'd save $30 per month and have better service. I'm hesitant to give up unlimited data, but with as little data as i use, it just doesn't make sense to keep it.

ATT unlimited plan?

I thought ATT stopped offering their unlimited plan.

They did. But you can still acquire an unlimited plan on ATT or Verizon by taking over someone's line that has it via assumption of liability for verizon, and billing responsibility for ATT.

That's how I switched from ATT unlimited to Verizon unlimited in June.

Were you able to transfer your AT&T plan to someone else? I'd like to trade my AT&T unlimited to someone but a quick google search suggests unlimited data cannot be transferred.

I think you're able to do that, but you would lose your phone number.

When I did it, I took over my friends Verizon line with is phone number, then ported my ATT number in on top of his. Once you port out of ATT, the line is history and any ETF that applies is triggered.
