Deleted 20GB but not reflected in Storage inidcator

I deleted 20GB of files off OS X.

Emptied the trash.

Rebooted but the storage indicator going to Mac>Storage barely moved?

Do you run Time Machine for your backups? Is the Time Machine disk connected to the Mac?

Yes, I do run Time Machine.

BUT

No, TM disk was not connected at time.

Sounds like a Time Machine snapshot is taking the space.

I ran Daisy Disk ...did not mention anything about TM snapshots...does that help?

Anyway what is solution?

Do a TM backup.
