A quick question. Are there many apps (excluding games) that Apple have deleted that are running on the latest iOS (or will on 11), or do Apple kill their functionality with newer versions of iOS?

What are you referring to? Like their apps, such as iMovie?

I remember early iOS versions had a Youtube app.
I don't think that has anything to do with what the OP is asking. o_O

It was my interpretation of the question. You did better by asking what he was referring too :)
No worries. It was an extremely confusing question. I read it a few times. I believe the OP is talking about Apple made apps. But that could be wrong as well. :(

I apologise that my question was ambiguous.

I was referring to apps that managed to make it into the app store which used non public APIs, broke app guidelines or where Apple subsequently changed their guidelines.

Those apps will continue to work as long as they are 64bit. Anything 32bit will not run with iOS 11. I have a few removed apps that will no longer work.
