HAL.DLL and XP Service Pack 3
I have recently had this problem, after running the beta of bootcamp problem free for over 1 year and then using Leopard's bootcamp.
I also run Parallels-which was fine too.
The problem for me began after I installed XP Service Pack 3-once you do that, there is one more windows critical update-and if you install that-good bye bootcamp and parallels virtual machine.
I have had to reinstall windows twice-and I have written to parallels about this problem.
Has anyone been successful in getting bootcamp to work properly with XP service pack 3? I know Apple put a bootcamp update out that was supposed to make bootcamp compatible with SP3 but it doesn't seem to me like it is.
